I am going to take a wild guess and say, your airbags need expert attention. you wouldn't ride a motorcycle without a helmet would you?

A flashing airbag light means if you get in a crash you are going to go chest first into a hard steering wheel or crack you head open on the side of your vehicle. Basically a flashing light means you have a problem.

The problems vary and with our cars the airbags are connected to the diagnostic system. You need an OBDII reader to pull a code. or you need to take your car into your local mechanic so they can do it for you. (you can buy and use a code reader cheaper than it is to have someone do it for you one time, If you live in SoCal ill do it for you-free)
You could have something as simple as a wire grounding out, or your airbag wiring harness could be bad, or the sensors have gone out, or the deployment system could be faulty, ect.. it could be anything and could be a 100 dollar fix up to a 4,000+ dollar fix. So your first step is to get that code to tell you what wire(s), sensors, ect.. have gone wrong.

Try unplugging the plugs under the passenger seat. Wait 5/10 minutes and replug.

What year is your car? I have an 08 and my airbag light came on, I manually reset it, it came back. A local org member had the consult II and it came back as faulty seat belt. The seatbelt has a sensor on it that acts together with the air bag, if the sesor goes bad your airbag light will blink. Mine did.

If you get yours checked out and it its indeed the seatbelt, somethings to note:
-dealer will order seatbelt and sensor - FREE, its the law
THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT, SO THATS WHY ALL CAPS.
-WHEN THEY REPLACE THE SEATBELT, THEY MUST REPLACE THE SEAT CUSHION WHICH HAS A SENSOR IN IT as well, THIS IS IN THE FSM. MY PASSANGER SIDE SEATBELT NEEDED REPLACING

Good luck and keep us posted
