metra dash kit wrong color

Hey guys I just received my Metra double din kit for my 05. It's a noticeably darker grey than the original piece. Does anyone know the color code of the interior silver trim or any paint in similar color?

All help greatly appreciated.

I bought some rust-oleum "High Performance Wheel paint" from lowes. It is actually a very close match to our stock silver trim, almost has that same brushed aluminum quality/appearance to it too. Durable as well, doesn't chip or flake off.

cost about $6.00

yeah the metra kit isn't an exact match for the 05 and up. I ended up painting mine as well after I tweaked it to fit my EQ in the cd pocket.

Exact match? It's not even close!

So anyway the guy I bought the kit off from Ebay was a honest enough person to refund some of my money. I used that to buy a can of paint. I used a color similar to CRiME's wheel paint and it's not an exact match but it's better then what it was.

Before:

After:

Also, the Ebay seller talked to Metra and came up with this:

"METRA says that no one, SCOSCHE nor METRA has been able to match the silver because of the METAL FLAKE found in the paint. Basically, they said there is nothing available in your color dash, that it would have to be left stock if matching is a concern. American International doesn't even offer one for your vehicle."

How many of you have silver with brushed strokes?
And how many have a darker grey solid color?

I was going to do that too but I didn't want to ruin the oem pieces, looks good enough how it is. Do you have a pic of yours all black?

Same with the Titanium Editions for 03. There is no match for that color except custom paint :/
