Engine light on

This is my first post, and I hope you guys can help me on this. My 04 SL was recently rearended, and a day after that which happened more than 1 1/2 months ago ( car was in the body shop for a month) my check engine light wet on, and my car stalls when I am trying to turn it on. It takes a while to turn on and the guy who had it in the autobody shop said that it was my crankshaft position sensor, changed thta, and also my oil pressure switch for safe measure since it was apparently dangling -_- and had been broken for a while. ANyway the car is still acting up even after that, and the engine light is still. Has this happened to anyone else or are there steps missing that I havent done as of yet?

Well for starters you could check the code of why the engine light is on in the first place.
