Side-scanning radar collision warning

Hi All,

Some of the current new cars have side-scanning collision avoidance warning systems to protect against collision during lane changes. I still have my 04 (only 48K) and it still smells new. Does anyone know if there are after-market versions of this and if so, where to buy and how much to install? Thanks!

Seriously. One of the first things I learned, many moons ago in driver's ed .

Prevented a collision many times. Works like a charm.

I take it you thus far have nothing to offer in the way of response to the question I asked. I suspect you all are under 25 and find smart-assed remarks highly amusing...

ohh

How do you get so many points on your profile. One day I had a thousand or so, now I have 11 thousand?

Thanks, guys--appreciate the links. (I tried Google before posting my question, but couldn't find anything. Must have used the wrong search terms.) I'm going to seriously check this out and will report back on how it works out. Have a great day!

Eating one's words can be tasty

Well, I checked out the suggestions of Po8pimp, and they were helpful. However, it is clear to me that the idea of simply looking carefully before making a move is probably the best overall solution (and cheapest, as one of you noted). The problem with a side collision warning system for me at least is that I would rely on it too much and get myself in an accident that way. Thanks to all for your responses!

Much love,

Troll # 412345.
