Hey guys,

I had trouble with acceleration and vehicle stalling. Dealership replaced both Cam Position Sensors and Fuel System Emission Service. My Maxima ran like a bat out of hell before this repair. Car runs fine, but I have to put the pedal to the floor to get it to hit a gear. It accelerates but I'm missing the kick into higher gears that I used to have and car has not performed like I bought it since repair.

Dealer mentinoned having ECU to grounds checked, $350.00.

Any suggestions??

Bring it back to the dealership ASAP.


Out of curiosity, though, which transmission do you have - the 5at? It sounds like it might be stuck in failsafe mode / 5th gear. That would be odd though, because that problem is usually resolved by replacing those sensors.

 

Hey I replaced both cam sensors and crank sensor and my max been running smooth as hec. I currently have 178450 miles with the original trans 5spd auto. It shouldn t be in fail safe mode if you changed cam sensors.
