Headlight problem

A couple of months ago one of my headlights was not working. I hit the side fender and it came back on. Just yesterday the same thing happened. This time I wasn't so lucky. Think I have a wire lose or some thing of the nature. Is the bumper cover hard to remove? I would like to handle this myself. Last time I had my lights changed it cost me $200. Thx!!

The front bumper is not hard to remove and can be removed with just a Philip's screw driver.

Start by removing the grill and all the clips around it for the bumper. Then remove the single screw(2 total) on both sides close to the tires underneath the bumper. Then pull the fender liner loose enough to get your hand in and remove two more screws(4 total) on both sides. Then the bumper will come free and rest on the ground in front of the car.

Should take you about 20 minutes the first time you remove it. 10 minutes every time after that.

I'm guessing you have halogen headlights? If so, search for Maxima retainer ring on eBay.

yes it is, and this is a common problem people are having when working on the headlights. That retaining ring is cheaply made and poorly designed on top of it.
