2005 Maxima SAT Sirius reception problems.

So I bought an awesome 6spd smoke/black fully loaded 2005 Maxi ...
It has a factory SAT button including an antenna that is behind the the rear glass by the roof. Anhow, I activated it today, however it only works 10-20 percent of the time. It is aweful! no reception anywhere maybe constant 20 seconds max before it searches for signal....

Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Had this happen in my 07 Escalade. Turned out to be the antenna was not all the way plugged into the transmitter/receiver. Mine was located behind the glove box. Don't know location on the Max.

Thank you! I'll look at the glove box ... No one else on this forum can't relate

http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...t-install.html sounds to me from reading this thread that it is in the trunk under the rear deck lid. Go into your trunk and remove the trunk headliner where your back speakers are and the module should be in there. Make sure everything is connected securely. Hope this helps.

have you called nissan yet? Some service reps are nice and will give you pointers on what to do. I would call around and explain what you are experiencing and ask where the antenna connects to?
