Just bought an 04 got a few questions
Hey 1st time posting. Recently bought my first car a 04 Maxima SE with 183xxx kms. I had to replace the timing chain guides tensioner and the primary chain ( didn't have to but since i thought it was being knocked around so I did it). Also did the camshaft position sensors ( brought my rpms down to 750 at running temp). I do all the work myself and changed to full synthetic and Nissan oil filters.
It drives awesome, got ***** and class
I have a few questions... first car and my old man has no clue about imports.
my front passenger tire is very easy to spinout. Is this normal with VDC on?
passenger seat belt doesn't allow any movement after buckling up. Definitely not normal (any fix?)
the clear coat on the spoiler look as if its bubbling and coming off. Suggestions?
Thanks for any and all suggestions and/or fixes.

You can look for some Meguiars clear coat polish for the spoiler, I had the same problem with the seat belt and if I remember correctly i just loosened it or something and it was straight, just kept yanking at it until it got loose lol, make sure there is no lock on it. Don't know about the tire I own a 5th Gen.

you might have to clean the seat belt unit, sometimes lint builds up and makes a tough time pulling on the belt and especially having it automatically retract.
check your wheel alignment. Tires should not just spin out under normal driving conditions. Of course if you're gunning in all the time then....
if clear coat is bubbling then most likely it is not factory finish and has been poorly repainted. if cut and buff/polish doesn't do the trick, you might have to get it repainted. will need to see pics of the damage to advice any further.
good luck with the car and welcome to the forums.

Thx everybody, still working out a few issues though. I bought replacement headlights but they are both missing a light pretty sure its the fogs. When i accelerate from 100 to 140 quick i get a puff of white smoke out of the tail pipes. Would it be a spark plug issue? Im dreading taking apart the motor to change those. I fixed the abs issue, had a TSB about it. Seatbelts I took them apart and magically they work properly now.
A few more bugs then I'm good hopefully
