Aftermarket Stereo- AC/Heat Issues...
Hello all. This is my first post here. I've found many answers to many questions, but haven't been able to find an answer to my current problem. I have a 2005 SE 3.5 that I just put in an aftermarket stereo system. I had installed an Alpine CDE-133BT that is just great. Problem is since the install our A/C-Heat controls seem crazy. In the off postion the light on the external cabin air button stays lit. When I push auto from being off, it defaults to the external cabin air button and the A/C button lights up. If I turn off the A/C button and then press the internal or recirculating cabin air button the A/C button comes on automatically. It seems almost posessed. I dc'd the battery for about 20 minutes today to see if it would reset but it didn't. Anyone have any insight or help they can give....? Thanks in advance for anything you might be able to suggest...
Thanks CRIME for your response. I neglected to mention that we bought the car this week (two days before upgrading the stereo) from a local Nissan dealer so I'm not really sure if this was happening before. Human nature has made me observe that area to a much closer degree than we did in the previous couple of days. With that said, you mention that you believe that is normal operation. With no deep or previous experience in that operation, if you you or anyone else share your thoughts and what your car does in A/C/Heat controls and operations that would be great...
Oh, ok. Congrats on the new purchase. My controls behave exactly like yours, which is why I wrote that it was normal. Mine have been that way since I bought it in 2009, before and after the installation of aftermarket stereos
Thanks! We love the car! Had an 00 Blue Maxima GLE, Bose, Leather and such. Great car. This is an SE but we love it. New one has only 75,000 miles and is winterfrost white. Looks really sweet with the newly limo tinted windows. Wife loves it.. Thanks alot for your input on the controls. Appreciate you taking your time to help me on this...
