I had HID conversion on my 2004 maxima and one blew out. I wanted to put my stock bulbs back on, but one was blown. I went to auto zone and they insisted I purchased 1 HID bulb for 99.00 dollars, for one. Apparently the HID was the only fitment for my maxima. I told the young female if my original bulb looks like a HID, she replied (NO). " I thought so" I need a replacement bulb, no HID. Finally, minutes later I did some research online and realized that 9006 bulbs should fit my maxima. I was skeptical at first and not to sure, so I went to Auto Zone again. I bought the 9006 high duel and installed it with no issues. I made sure the 9006 had the perfect width for the metal prongs and the single plastic slot. It Match identical to my stock bulb and if it looks similiar, chances are it fits. I took a gamble and was happy with the results. Again, 9006 Bulbs from Auto zone do fit 2004 stock maxima bulbs..................

Yep, they sure do. Light output is not as good as the stock 9012 bulbs, but they do fit, as you have found out. Welcome to the site.
