Dash cam!!

Whaaat uuuuuup maxima.org its been some days.

Anyways i have seen some interesting things in my life in my car. Some things people believe, others, they say yeah right... so, I bought a black box 1080p gps tracked dash cam. One of the best ones out there. I want to splice it into my power rear view mirror.

i know the information is out there but it is buried under ALOT of threads. I don't have 3 hours to spend searching for the answers so ill simply ask it here.

1) does the running wire that goes to the power mirror always on, or does it turn on when the accessories are activiated via key turn?

2) what color is the running wire?

3) i get the feeling the running wire always on because its connected to the garage door opener which suck because i want to have my dash cam to be touch free. (it turns on when the car is on, and off when the car is off)

4) my only other option is to run the wire into the ceiling and around to the fuze box where i can splice it in accordingly.

5) for those who have hardwired radar detectors what would you suggest i do?

help me out with this and ill post all the awesome things i see. One of the things i plan to make a compilation catching the police doing everything they write people tickets for, during an off call patrol.

I can't speak too much for what's in the Maxima's as for if the wire is ACC or +12v all the time, check it out with a Voltmeter, that's your best bet.

I have ran radar detector's at the top of my windshield on all of my cars (plan on wiring it up in the Altima in a few weeks) and I just run my own wire from the detector to a blank fuse in the fuse box that is on the ACC switched 12v. It's not that hard to do with just a volt meter and some wiring... I say go for that as it's your best option, you don't want to pull too much power from too thin of a wire (rearview mirror power wire) and cause a fire/constant fuses blowing.

Which cam did you get? It's something I've been interested in doing.
