Can you reset abs codes without the machine?

VDC and brake light are on. Last time I went to nissan they got a code for low brake fluid (it is not low) They did a reset and I was good for 3 months.

Code is on again. I don't have an abs code reader.
Any way to reset abs codes without going to dealership? A bit annoying because my abs and VDC are off and it's winter time, and icy.

Find someone with a Cipher, from UpRev.

But if you have a bad ABS sensor, you'll need to change it before the lights go out, and VDC is back.
Never seen a code for low brake fluid. My "code" for low brake fluid is the "Brake" light on.

I will try disconnecting the neg battery terminal and see if it clears the code.

if it comes back on, then go to nissan I guess.
