2005 Nissan Maxima question

New here and I do not have the greatest automotive knowledge. My Maxima makes a slight squeaking sound when it hits 1000 rpm. This is on acceleration and deceleration. It happens while driving and if I hit the gas while I am parked. I thought it might be the belts but no. Any solutions? Thanks!

Well I can't hear it in the engine compartment, but I can while I am in the driver's seat. I can hear it once I turn the car on and a second or two after I hit the gas. Hopefully that helps.

Had it replaced today. Could it be the power steering pump? Driving doesn't seem to be effected. I was hearing the squeak also before the belt was replaced.

Well I never had a water pump go bad on me but I don't think a water pump will squeak before going bad..Power steering makes a whining noise before going bad..this can.be checked by just turning your wheels in place left and right.Does it do it soon as you turn it on or after it heats up?your radiator fans might be touching something ...idk..just random guessing here..

Make a sound clip and post it if you have the means to do so. This one is going to be hard to help you with without a better idea of what the noise sounds like and exactly when / where you're hearing it (does it go away under any conditions - after warming up, etc).

Sorry I dont have that ability. It sounds like a quick chirp. It happens once I turn the engine on and it hits rpm and if I hit the gas and it hits 1000 rpm. Wish I could record it.

From what you're describing, it really sounds like belt noise; since you've already done the serp belt, perhaps you should replace the P/S belt as well. I usually like to replace both at the same time.
