Firestone Oil Change

I have a 2004 Maxima SL with 129612 miles. Owned the car since Dec 2012. Have no idea of the kind of maintenance done on the car.
Had the oil changed at Firestone with their regular 5W30 Kendall Syn/blend motor oil and they used either an E-core or Performance filter (i have to find out which). The Kendall "High Mileage" Syn/blend motor oil cost $10.00 more.
I need advice on the quality of the oil and the filter with respect to my car. Also is it a alright to change to Amsoil or Mobile 1 full Synthetic oil at this late date?
Thanks to all who respond.

You could switch over to full synthetic, but it's debatable whether or not you'll see any added benefit from it with the current mileage on your car.

Kendall is good oil. I say stick with it if the price is right for you.
