Used valve body ideas

I was informed by Nissan today that they are now wanting the old VB back as a core after ordering a new model OEM one. My question is, what are you going to do or have you done with your old VB? I was going to keep mine, just in case by some fluke the new one went south. I really had no plans for it. I am sure smaller shops could use them as cores themselves. What are your ideas?

If they are ordering new, they should not need a core. My two cents.

That is what I was thinking. As far as I know, I ordered a new OEM VB from Courtesy Nissan. Why are they wanting my core? IDK, they said that technically I don't NEED to send it back, because I ordered mine before this new rule...but they would appreciate it if I did send it back.
