Backup Sensor Buzzer Location

The indicator light on my backup sensor button is on all the time. I got the diagnostic code from the backup sensor system, and the code is "21" for failed buzzer. I've tried to find the buzzer, and I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have advice on where to find it or do you have a parts diagram that you can post or email to me?

Thanks in advance

The diagram on the Courtesy site shows a buzzer that appears to maybe be under the front of the dash? Not sure if that is the correct buzzer or not, though. Check out letter "K" in the third diagram on this page...

Yup!!! I know where it is. I think I even have some pics. Will see if I can find those pics and post for you. Same thing happened to my car. I fixed it using a method from the Titan forum. man, these forums are a blessing!!!

The buzzer is located under the steering wheel column, a little on the left side, when you are sitting in the drive seat. Just pop that covering under the steering wheel off. It comes off without screwing anything!!! Just do it, and it will come off. Well, it would not come off completely, but enough for you to reach the buzzer. It is black.

Then you can go buy it from nissan or from ebay or like me, do the fix from the Titan forum. The fix I learned about from the Titan forum cost me $9.00, LOL. Yup!!! $9.00 only. That is not using the original part. The original part would cost about $45.00 or $50 off ebay. I think I might change to the OEM part.

Okay so I just bought an 05 maxima from my mother in law. She said the backup buzzer used to work but stopped... I'm not seeing a reverse buzzer switch or buzzer itself anywhere under steering column. The car has the 2 sonar sensors in the rear bumper... am I missing something or did this car not actually have a reverse buzzer?

I have searched everywhere and there is very little info on this on the maxima. Plenty for titan and other van/SUV. Any help would be appreciated.
