2007 Nissan Maxima Engine Swap

How difficult is it to swap a 2007 Nissan Maxima Engine 3.5 with a new one. Has anyone did this swap or has anyone removed their 2007 engine. Where can I find the posts of this project or any how to information. Any links will be helpful.

Thanks
Lin

Not common around here as it is in earlier generations, but whats the reason you want to "swap"?

Should be a direct bolt in if this engine is going into an A34 with a CVT.

2007 Engine Swap

Oil pump failed. Replacing engine with exact same thing with lower miles. I'm not an expert on engines, but the rattling I near is not good. The trans is a CVT.

Hey guys,

I saw this topic and thought that I actually have the same concern with my 04 Maxima that has VQ35 3.5 DOHC Engine. When I start the car, it makes a rattling sound, but after 30 seconds goes away. My friend said that it has to do something with the pistons. Help?

Should not be hard. If you have done other engine swaps before, you aregood to go.

It's likely timing chain tensioners/guide...cheap parts by themselves, but can get costly due to labor.

Thanks for the reply.
Is it worth concern?
