the other day, came from work and the engine was misfiring horribly, so did the self-test code check. 0201 and 0603. Not knowing much, I researched the 6th cylinder ignition coil issue and replaced that, and it worked like a champ.

A week later, got into the car and turned the key..and nothing. No turnover, no crank, but all the lights and batter were working. Prior, it seemed as though it was harder to turnover..like the starter was going bad.

Any suggestions, ideas for a newbie before I take it to a real mechanic? Thanks.

Can start by saying you replaced the wrong coil. Now read these and follow them.... If you get stuck or have any problems come back and let us know. Hope this helps.

 

1.check battery
2.check alternator
3.check all coils
4.check crank sensor
5.check gas filter


after checking these you should know y your car is not starting
