Display screen has an Icon with a 'B' embeded within it

I have looked thru out the Manual and cannot find any info on why there is a Icon with the letter 'B' within it located at the top centre of the 7" Screen on my 2004 Maxima SE.

I have changed my trip Odometer from A and B and still no change to the screen.

Any idea what that Icon means?

Side question:

(Is there any way to turn off Human verification when I post or reply to posts or does it stop when I have so many posts?)

no nav? hmm

have you looked in the user manual for the car?? That'd be the first place to look.

Yes was thinking of that and will do so a bit later when wife finds where she 'Hid' the Camera... I think she lent it to her sister. LOL

I went out to car and noticed that the icon goes away when I turn off the radio or press the CD Button and goes out when I press the Tape Button.

I had a closer look and noticed that the Icon is not a car but perhaps a Speaker...so could the B stand for Bose????

this is why you need to upload a pci....a little itty bitty icon that looks like a car now looks like a speaker. And it obviously has something to do wtih your radio...

I think you're on the B level of preset radio stations. You can have like 12 presets, but only 1-6 on the buttons, yes? you have to have a way to cycle them. Since it goes OFF when the radio is off, and OFF when the CD is pressed, and OFF when tape is pressed, it's to do with your radio.

Yes this Icon is definitely related to the radio and probably as you suggested, to do with the Preset Stations.

I will go play with the radio a bit later tonight to confirm this.

Thank you for your assistance.

Good thing I did not take the post with "Uh oh!!!!!!" to heart. LOL

Follow up on the small Icon found on the top central portion of the 7" Screen.

This Icon is definitely for the Radio and does pertain to the Preset Stations.

According to Manual the system allows 18 Preset Station. Since thee are only 6 Buttons it requires sub-sets

To the right of the ON-OFF/VOLUME control **** is a Button labeled Preset A-B-C

Clicking on this Button changes the Icon from A to B and C.

I will post a picture of this Icon when I find the camera.
