Remote Entry

I have a '07 Maxima and the remote entry does not work after the car has been parked for a while. After the car is started, again without the remote, and runs for a while I shut off the car and everything seems to work fine.

It seems like there is a rechargeable battery somewhere in the car that is not hold it's charge.

Your thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. I have read the other posts and they point towards the battery in the fob. The battery has been replaced and as mentioned previously, after the car runs for a while everything seems to work fine.

Thanks,

Hey bud, it might be the fob itself. my '08 was having similar problems but mine went a bit more. I locked the keys inside the car by pushing the lock button on the door handle WHILE the keys were inside the car. the stealership wants almost $240 for the fob, labor and programming. It doesn't do it all the time but it's becoming more frequent. They said it wasn't sending the signal code the way it's supposed to. Good luck and keep posted.
