Rattling noise in 2004 maxima

I own a 2004 Nissan maxima and I hear a rattling noise every time I go somewhere. Is it the type of gas I'm using that is causing this? I use 87 regular from Wal-Mart's gas station

I can't say the two are specifically related, but if that is your concern - fill up with 93 (gas is cheap right now) and toss a techron in there and see what happens.

it is very hard to diagnose a noise without hearing it. Rattling can be anything. Take a video of where it is coming from and post it up here. That might help us help you diagnose it better.

Whats the point of using 87 anyway? the car is tuned for higher octane fuel. You get way better MPG's(ethanol free helps) with premium and the car will run better.

likely exhaust heat shield. mine currently rattles like a few times before. look near the cats. when cold of course see if anything is loose. the metal O-clamps need replaced.
