My Maxima is sputtering bad when I am driving. It only does that when I have it in drive or reverse. As long as it's in park, I get nothing. What could it be?

If it was an ignition misfire you should get it at idle as well. If it only does it under acceleration then it could be fuel filter or some other fuel starvation. Any trouble codes?
No trouble codes right now. Today I felt like a small jerk when it's in park. I can feel that about once every minute

Doesnt make much sense that you would get any kind of jerk in park. Do you mean a jerk as if it were to stall? That may be an electrical issue but id start by checking the obvious causes of a misfire ie plugs, wires, air filter, possible coil going bad and yes as stated possible fuel filter. When was the last time you had a tune up done? These are all things that you can diagnose yourself by checking your air filter, pulling wires and coils one at a time to see if there is a change in idle and checking condition of spark plugs aswell as checking harness connections on MAF sensor and check vacume hoses etc.
Coil. At idle you are typically fine with a single bad coil. Can't REALLY feel it. When you start driving it misfires.
