2004 Transmission

So I was on the interstate and realised ny tranny wasn't shifting. I stopped at a gas station and somehow it is completely out of tranny fluid. Anyone know why? My ses light is on too.

Well there is only one fix for this..... Call a trans shop and have them tow it in for repair. Highly recommend if it is a 5speed to have the solenoids changed out prior to install with the Rostra solenoids. Info is here: http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...ssion-fix.html

It's an automatic. I'm going to tow it in tomorrow after work to have it checked out. Kinda ticked. I've had the car for 3 weeks!

You're leaking tranny fluid from some where , you don't just run out of fluid

I would like to do this. But um on a tight budget right now so this will have to wait. What difference does it make by doing this?

Well, I just got it back after 2 weeks. It ended up blowing the pump in the tranny which also blew my torque converter and blew some seals. After replacing all that and having it towed, it cost about 1200!!
