I have heard that the cvt cant handle a supercharger. Is possible that a turbo might work?

I know im not in the tuning forum, but you never see any 08's in that forum so I thought this would be ok.

My close friend who owns a shop turbo'd a 2.5 altima which has the cvt, I think it was a 2010. Boosted running aem as the tuning device, apparently the car is running well, I wil try to get more details then get back to you

I do not think it will handle it at all. If you have ever put your cvt max in sport mode and driven it hard. When you get out of the car you will smell a burt rubbery smell. It isn't the tires, those are your belts in the CVT. They are hot and giving off a burning smell because there is slippage when you jam on the throttle over again. The cvt is a sweet system and fun as all hell to drive, but its not made to handle so much HP.
