I smell a RAT!!!
Well, it seems that during the recent cold spell that hit the country, my hot engine seemed to give some warmth to a rat! It first brought in outside food, some nuts from a nearby tree, then decided to use my car as food. I thank God that it hasn't/didn't chew on any wires. It, in my opinion, was looking for moisture. It chewed the tubing of the wipers, the sections to the nozzles and a section that leads from the reservoir. Next it decided to chew up the hose from the radiator the its overflow reservoir. That I think should have killed it, if it drank radiator fluid, but since I have been taking measures to deter it from returning I haven't seen it lately.
Now here is my question, I have washed the engine compartment at the carwash with the pressure hose, but I wanted to know if it were ok if I took off the engine cover and pressure wash the section where the injectors are? I need to wash away any scent this rat could have left behind, if it still alive.
All answers and input are welcome, maybe even methods you may have used in your own experience.
Thank You!!!

cant directly spray water where the coils and injectors are, you can get bad misfires after. whenever you was the engine, cover the air filter, coils, battery, any wiring harnesses, etc with plastic grocery bags and then let the car idle with the hood open for 10 minutes
other thing to look out for is a nest in the exhaust, guy i know stored his car in the garage over winter and when he removed his exhaust in spring a bunch of nest stuff came out from mice lol

thanks for the input
yeah my Maxi is a daily driver, I have extensively looked over and under the car to see if it were a pack rat. Pest Control guy said it is a rat. After a month of trying to rid the animal from my car, I think I just may have. traps are coming out untouched, glue traps also, and poisons uneaten. maybe when it drank the radiator fluid, it died! i smelled something burnt and a little smoke coming from behind the engine and the intake area. i didn't find anything but it might have fallen off after my drive. who knows!
