How many miles? Have you ever replaced the plugs?

similar issues on 08

hey, I have an 08 Max with 43k miles on it and I am having similar issues with it. Usually upon a cold start, it takes 2-3 cranks before it goes. I've done a fuel system clean at the dealership and also cleaned my not so dirty K&N drop in filter with about 9k miles through it. I don't know why its doing it either, but ill soon try to clean the MAF (mass airflow sensor) and see what that does. If you have any updates, be sure to post pls. I'll do the same.

any check engine lights?

does it smoke a little for a few seconds?

has your mileage dropped recently?

it could be the primary oxygen sensors going out, they don't always set a code either.

once the car is warm, does it still take a few seconds to start or it starts right up?

on my Max, doesn't smoke, recent mileage very low at 13.4mpg (mostly city), and starts fine warm.

My mileage is fine. Once it starts the first time and the engine is warm it starts every time the rest of the day until the engine gets cold again. But i live in florida and weather is warm mostly
