Speaker System

Why is it when I turn my music up loud the bass gets quieter? I've done nothing to the system. Has stock everything, I just wanna know how to stop it from auto quieting itself.

If it's stock it's typical. The wattage isn't enough/speakers aren't strong enough to show increase dynamically. Happens even with aftermarket for the same reason. Needs mo' pow'a!

Happened on my Bose as well. I always thought it was some kind of built in circuitry that helped prevent distortion at higher volumes. But, I guess I was over thinking it . MadMax07's theory of weak amps & speakers sounds better. When I had my aftermarket system (1700w HiFonics amp, two 10" Sundown subs) it didn't happen. Could push the volume until the bass made my ears bleed
