04 door locks. Help if you can please
Some of my locks don't work at all, some work sometimes. I have been reading and it seams that it is either the actuators or the BCM. I'm probably just going to replace the actuator on one first to see if that helps. There is one thing I find odd. The driver side rear always works but after I cycle it a few times it slows down and finally quits. Kinda like it is running out of power. If I wait a few minutes and do it again, it works fine for a few more cycles. Does that ring a bell with anyone that might have a suggestion as to which way to go? I hate to go to dealership. Especially since it is an hour away.
Thanks

Yeah, that is characteristic of a door lock actuator problem. Mine went bad on the passenger side F & R at the same time. Noticed it on a hot day when the car was parked in the sun. Locks would struggle, and if I were to cycle it as you did, it would eventually reduce to nothing, not even a twitch.

No problem. If you're going to tackle it yourself, this writeup for the door handle LED install may be helpful as far as taking the door apart to access the part.

have you had aftermarket speakers installed? i've seen the cable that controls the lock/unlock motor not reinstalled correctly and that can cause the locks not to move all of the way, but if you say the rears also are acting up then it may seem that this is NOT the issue, being that the rears are on the deck, not the door. but if not, then yeah sounds like a classic actuator dying tale.
