So my 4thgen although has been a great car its just rusting out and falling apart underneath. So locally theres an 04 se 6sp for sale. Havent looked much into the newer maxs but the price is right for now to get me by for a few more years and past my current expenses of wedding and house revamps. So what should I look for in the 6th gen and be leary of?

the common items i usually read about is the 6th gen tranny issues with the 5 speed auto, but you are looking at a 6 speed so I'd say your good there. I also have ready about the timing chain tensioners issue that most have dealt with at some point on the 6th gens.

There indeed may be more but those are the one I have seen the most info.

I finally saw where they buried the price in the statement. DO they really think an 04 with over 122k (without nav or mention of leather seats) can go for $7877 ??? Asking should be under $7000 with you probably getting out of there under $5500. If it's not got all the bells like heated seats, Nav, HID's, basically if it's an SE without upgrades, I'd not pay a dime over $5000.
