Starting issues

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum. I've had my 08 Maxima for almost 2 years now. Usually, once you turn the key, in about a second or so the car would start. Lately, it seems to be taking longer and longer. Sometimes I have to crank it multiple times for it to start. Now I know for a fact that it's not the battery cause I got a new one in there just recently. Has anyone had that happened before? I'd like to have an idea about what is causing that.

Thanks!!

see if you have any computer codes stored in car. is the check engine light on at all? I had one of the camshaft sensors go bad on my wifes 05 and it did the same thing sometimes. 2-3 times before it would start.

From another thread

I fixed my problem last night.

I should mention that my car did not have a check engine light on. It just had problems starting kind of like how tallblazer124 did. I went to the car parts store last night and i got a camshaft position sensor for $65. I replaced just the front one the one closest to the radiator (bank 2) and that did the trick. Now fires up like brand new.

Here's the install video I found online that shows how to replace both of them.

Good luck
