Replace steering wheel controls

Replace steering wheel controls
Long story short, the buttons on my steering wheel controls broke. I picked up replacement cruise control and stereo control buttons on ebay. After removing the airbag how in the world do I access the screws that retain the buttons? Do I have to pull the entire wheel?
