Headlight problem

I have HID headlights and on the passenger side headlight the high beam had stopped working about a week ago (only that side) now the light won't go on at all and I really doubt it's a bad bulb...before I take the whole bumper off and take the whole lihht out anyone have any ideas as to what it May be?

The only thing I can think of is
A: swap ballasts and see if the problem follows THAT ballast
B: swap BULBS and see if its a bulb problem

sorry, bump for more ideas

Hey I think I found the problem...whatever dummy instAlled the lights just let the ballasts and connections hang down meaning they have been getting covered in rain snow and salt for the past year that when I went to go unplug the light from the connection the positive wire (blue) just fell right off the connector...tried swapping ballasts and bulbs on both sides and now the driver side doesn't work either looks like lots of corrosion and acid probably gonna need to replace both connectors any ideas?
