Abs unit caught fire, 04 max totaled. Nissan liable?

Opinions/Experiences wanted!

My 04 Elite started with the humming under the hood, which led to the replacement of the ABS unit, etc, etc.
This is apparently a well documented issue for my year?!?!

It apparently caught fire in my garage, totaling out the car..
What's worse is that I only carried liability on the Max (can't afford full coverage on 2 vehicles) and it looks like my homeowners will not cover "anything with a motor" - this did about 10k damage to my garage, not counting the contents.

To make matters worse, the Max is sitting in a nearby auto body lot gathering storage fees.
Please people help me!!'

Your home insurance covers cars.

How can you prove the ABS unit caught fire?
