*PLEASE HELP* 2004 Maxima Engine Issues

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forums, and I need some help identifying some noise coming from the engine. I would really enjoy not having to go to the dealer if possible.

The first problem is the ticking noise. I imagine that this is a lifter issue, but if you could confirm or offer other possibilities, that would by awesome. Secondly, and most important, is the whine. This occurs after driving the car for a little while. Once it begins, it is pretty much a constant whine, no real pitch change whether revving or idling. When you turn the car off and back on, the noise goes away. after revving the car, it comes right back. I don't think it's the timing chain tensioner, but please tell me what you think.

I have created a video to display the issue and better help you guys help me. Please let me know what you think! I do have an intermediate knowledge of car repairs, so I would like to know what it is so I can figure out whether or not I can repair it myself.

In the video, you can hear the whine immediately (as i just got home from work), and the rest is explained throughout. Thank you for you help guys!

My engine sounds like that (sans the whine). Might want to check your belts for any loose belts, rubbing, etc. Maybe even an alternator or draw issue, another item to check with the belt check.

The taping is just your fuel injectors.
