Code 744 after valve body relacement

Hello everyone, first post here. We just bought our son a 2005 maxima with 200k miles on it. Thanks to you guys here I knew bat the VB needed to be replaced and not the whole transmission! We just got that done and two days later it throws a code 744. My mechanic cleared the code and it's diving fine now. I did think it was stuck in 3rd and I felt an every so slight clunk when it happens. Does anyone know the fix for this??
Thanks for the help!

Code P0744 is code for torque converter clutch lock-up malfunction. Code is normally caused by bad or sticking control valve or solenoid. You stated that you had the valve body replaced. Did you get a new valve body from someone who rebuilds the VB or did you mechanic rebuild the VB?

Thanks for the reply! My mechanic got it from his transmission supply company. I think he told me it's the new one from Nissan, not a rebuilt one.
Does that make sense?

Thanks again for the help!

Yes I do, start saving for A rebuild asap, you can drive it for now like that.....but tell ur son to baby it till he rebuilds it, don't floor\stomp it lol . With 200k it on its last days IMO....might last like that for A long time or one peel out and no reverse after lol....seen it happen here before, good luck. Have 1500 bucks handy incase that day comes
