Leds for the dash

I have a 2006 maxima and want to replace all my instrument cluster, shifter, ac, radio and climate control back lights with blue leds. Has anyone done this and can let me know how many lights I need in all .

This will not help but I am very interested in this also. I believe I saw a post or you tube video about someone who actually took apart the dash to get access to the lights. They then cut all the old bulbs out and soldered the new bulbs in. I think the 6th gen interior would look much better with different color bulbs. The stock orange ones are ugly in my book.

I just want to replace the back lighting bulbs which should be screw in and screw out. I just wanted to know how many so I could pull apart once and do. I went ahead and ordered 20 bulbs and see how far that gets me. I replaced headlights with 6000k hid, 7000k led fog, 6000k led switchbacks for turn signals, led break lights and bright white led interior / vanity mirrors.

Here you go... You're going to need a pretty good soldering gun, as well as a steady hand and a lot of time on your hands.

I guess im biased. I think I have one of the best looking LED instrument displays. The dash hack video is a lil different than the process for Nissan for sure, and the end result was rather lacking but it is a change.

This is mine in a 2006 Altima SER No comparison from stock to this...none! I hated the Nissan drab orange sooooo fricken bad! lol Enjoy.

This looks great! My cluster on my Gsxr looks something like that. I was more so showing the soldering / desoldering process. I haven't pulled apart my maxima or 350z dash to see how they're soldered in but OP if youre worried about messing up, let someone who has done it before tackle it.

Thanks for all the great info and pictures. I like the white and blue look but not ready to try something like this myself at this point.
