Starting problems

I have a 2008 Nissan 3.5Se and sometimes when I go to start it, it'll crank over but it'll take a couple seconds of holding the key (longer then it should take) any reason why that is? Thinking the fuel pump is taking a crap

Camshaft sensors normally causes a hard start or delay start. May or may not turn on check engine light.

So it could be camshaft or fuel pump most likely?

What do you mean by codes? Nothing is popped up on the dash if that's what your asking. I'd say like once a day it'll crank over longer then it should so I'm thinking it's the fuel pump.. Hopefully cause I think a fuel pump is about $60

Did you figure the problem? My car is doing the same thing, I have to keep turning the key and pump the gas. It takes longer in the mornings

Sounds like what the Service adviser at Nissan said was a starter in my Maxima. It kept getting worse then I needed a tow.
