HID Headlight Not Working

I have a 2006 with HID headlights. The actual headlight went out the other day. I have had this happen before, replaced the bulb and it worked. I tried to replace the bulb this time and it did not fix it. All the other lights work on the lamp just not the main headlight. There is moisture inside the headlamp and I'm thinking that the ignitor got wet and fried. My question is do I buy a new ignitor and hope that fixes it or should I buy a new ballast and ignitor together? Also, is there a good way to get the moisture out of the headlamp or should I pony up the $400 for a brand new headlamp? I don't really want too as I know it comes with a new bulb which is $100 that I've already sunk.

Also, I noticed my other light flickers every once in a while. Anyone know why it might do this and how to fix it? I have heard of replacing the fuse to a 20 AMP fuse instead.

Hey man,

The ballast and igniter are one unit. If there is moisture in there and the light does not work then moisture got in the ballast. Replace it.

As far as the flickering how old is the bulb. is a flicker when you turn it on?

The flickering will never happen if you go with digital AC ballasts.
