Hello Experts,


My 2004 nissan maxima was leaking and it turned out that the leakage is from rack/pinion assembly.

Has anyone tried to replace these on your own? If yes, where did you buy the part from.

I went to a service station and they are asking for around $1500 to replace this part.

Any help would be appreciated.

Total rip off. You can get part online for 3 to 4 hundred and labor is 400-500 hundred.

Yes, I see this part on Autozone for $400+taxes, so hoping to get it installed somewhere cheaper. Do you know if there are instructions available if I want to do it myself?

Go on Rockauto much cheaper. Google for vids its a ***** without a lift. Pay a pro to do it.
