I purchased my maxima from a private seller who bought it at auction and sold it to me. It came with a viper key fob but it wasn't programmed. I checked under the dash and there is a metal toggle witch but the wires in the back run into the fuse box and than are disconnected from wherever they are supposed to go after that. My question is does that mean my alarm is probably disabled, and is there a way to check if it still works or has a remote start? Lastly can I still program the key fob it is a Viper 7701v model fob? Thank you I have been trying to figure this out since I got the car but would usually give up. Now I am determined to figure out what it is and help will be great.

 

Roll windows down lock doors reach in window unlock door and see if alarm goes off if doesn't then alarms probably disarmed...

 

Yes sorry there is an alarm that went off before and to disarm I would just start the car. What I'm trying to figure out is if I can program the viper key Fob and if there is a remote start. I would usually try to program it from that switch but the switch looks like it's disconnected.
