What is involved with replacing the piping from the y-pipe on?

I own a 2004 with the 4 speed. I want to cut out the mufflers, which have become fairly rusty. I have listened to videos on YouTube of 6th gens with their mufflers deleted and I love the sound of it. What is involved with replacing the piping from the y-pipe on? I figured using a 2.5 inch diameter pipe, but what about bends and how do they hang in place? Also, can I clamp them on as opposed to welding?
