Unexplained Power Loss to OEM Audio Control Head

Hope someone has experienced this or similar problem and welcome any ideas on how to fix.

Over past 6 months, have had the radio/CD control head appear to loss total power so that radio presets are dumped and when car is turned on the internal multi-CD changer cycles. Battery is new and connections are solid. I've checked applicable fuses and all appear ok. Doesn't seem to matter how cold or hot the outside air temperature is or whether the car has been sitting for a few days. Audio simply shuts down randomly.

Any suggestions?
