Brake light on. Not alternator.

Hi guys, so im a mechanic and hoping someone else has solved this problem before. I have an 04 maxima and the brake light in the cluster stays on.
The battery light would come on for a second or two every once in awhile, i changed the alternator last year, it tested good before but i changed it again anyways yesterday.
The brake light is still on. I took the center console apart checked the e brake switch , its good. Checked the brake fluid level sensor, its good also. Hooked up snap-on solus edge, no codes. Checked the grounds under the battery, to the frame and near the blinker/fender, even added grounds from the engine to the body. and from the battery to the body. Still on!
My thoughts are maybe a ground wire for the abs? Maybe bad cluster? Maybe short in harness somewhere? Ive printed wire diagrams and had no luck. Honestly im tired of tracking down dead ends. Anyone else have a problem like this? Or does someone have maybe a pin out test so i atleast know which wire to trace.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Just because you replaced the alternator doesn't make it a good one. Did you test it with and w/o loads?

Yes, i did a load test, battery test, checked all bulbs, and fuses. The battery light hasn't flashed since changing the alternator again, but then again it only flashed for a second every once in awhile. The brake light wont even flicker though.

check your battery terminals and the alternator plug. I would upgrade the terminals...
