04 nissan maxima starter problem

I bought a nissan maxima starter at hexautoparts.com last month.
Because busy with my works and went to another town for three weeks,so had no time to install it.
This monday,I put the starter in,it makes some noise but not turn the engine when I start it.
Can anyone explain what may be the problem? Or is it a defect one ? Do I need to do more testing ?
thank you for your time.

Have you had your battery tested?

Try taking the starter off the Bell housing, leave thee electrical connection. With you watching the starter, have someone turn the key to acc/on but don’t start the car. See if the solinoid with engage and push the gear to connect with the flywheel.

With these instructions, I am afraid, the OP will get nowhere. The starter pull-in relay and starter motor do not engage when in ignition on. The easiest way to test is to use booster cables to jump the starter from the battery.

The two reasons are the battery does not have enough power to turn the starter or you may have a bad starter solenoid.

It's fully charged.I have someone tested yesterday and he told me the starter solenoid was failed.
Then bought a new solenoid locally and install on the Hexauto maxima starter.
The whole process costs me $10 and one hour.
Now started with no troubles and very powerful.
