Bad catalytic converter

Bad catalytic converter

My maxima 2004 started to hesitate and rpm whent crazy after I put gas on it. Read the codes p0430 came up. So I take out the catalytic and all the material was broken so I clean all the pipes and the car still have problems. I unscrewed the lower part of the catalytic and the car runs great again, also tested it with the o2 sensor unscrewed and runs great to. Can I run the car with that part unscrewed? What problems can happen?

The rear cat is clogged too.

i would remove all 3 cats and hallow them out. now you will have a p0420 and p0430 indicating banks 1 and 2 cats have failed but you will have 0 drivability issues except maybe lower gas mileage and if ya do emissions test for inspection automatic failure. I know here in texas if ya home boys with the inspector ya can slip the guy a Benjamin and he will "pass" it
