Just recently about maybe a month ago i slung a rod in the maxima. i’ve been looking on co parts at another maxima. my transmission is fine still works. car has 216k. since i’m swapping motor i’m gonna do tranny as well (CVT). can i use any year model or would it have to be an 08? need help asap. tired of paying gas money...lol.

 

I'd suggest you appraise your car on Edmunds.com or KBB. Get some perspective. Running in rough condition your trade-in is like $100. Retail (dealer selling price) for your car if it was running is under $2000. Swapping a motor and trannie is not going to increase the value of the car, so say you get everything used, installed under $3000...your car is still worth $100 trade-in. You can get more for scrap at this point. junk it and get something else.
