what should i do to my 6th gen maxima?

i recently just bought my 04 maxima and i love it. I want to make it look and sound better. Any thing i should do to it for starters? Also it has a whining start up idk if that’s normal either.

Start with polishing up those headlight housings, you can make it look 10 years younger by getting rid of the haze and yellowing

Things I did.

I have an 06.se.Non bose non nav cloth interior. Its the five speed. The first thing I would do is determine what shape your fluids are in.These transmissions are real touchy. It takes a synthetic trans.fluid that I spent 140.00 on fluid. If you put something else in it well it could possibly ruin it.Oil consumption is something that you will have to maintain.I at first used synthetic oil but changed to conventional as it would use less between oil changes.Timing chain is another issue that plagues these cars.Rack and pinion also.Give the front end a thorough inspection.Ive changed shocks struts sway bar bushings.upper control arms and lower.New bearings.,rotors and brakes. The factory rotors are not a good design they are thin and warp easy.Pre cats specially the one against the firewall will fail creating the old p0420 code.I know it sounds like alot..Maintenance is crucial. But what you put in is what you get out.
