Transmission cooler
This is complicated. It is complicated because the transmission takes time to warm up to the correct temperature. Much more than the engine. If you add a transmission cooler, then you (1) will extend that time and (2) may also never get the temperature, if you live in a northern climate, to the correct operating temperature. Both are detrimental to your transmission.
If I lived in a climate that was excessively warm, then I would (1) decrease my transmission fluid drain and fill timeline (30k-40k) and (2) change out my engine coolant every 3-4 years to combat the effects of the hot climate.
That is how I would roll.
