i was driving my uncle to work car has been driving truly wonderful until this after droppping him off in noticed that with the gas pedall to the floor the car wasnt accdlerating any at all and i that point the battery cable was the isssues here so noticing the water in th battery was low i aded and got a jump to then changing the altinator out for a new one when we hooked the computer to it the cables were broken to the mass air flow sensor fixing that now the car will not even attempt cranking over to start much needed asistance thank you i have a 2005 nissan maxima 3.5l up to this point it has been at leas starting when jumped off but now no

what happens, if anything, when you try to start the car?
do any lights come on at all?

Agreed. there is a big battery fuse on the positive terminal. if that goes out there is absolutely 0 action in the car. dash lights out that's your tell tale.
