Hi all

anyone know of a currently available brand of OBD2 scanner that will read engine warning codes on Japanese import 2004 Maxima? To complicate things i live in New Zealand!

Driving a few weeks ago the engine cut out when driving! Restarted after several attempts. Now requires a few attempts to get the car to start, and when it does the engine warning light is on and the VDC light is on too.

Would like to read the code to decide if this is something i can fix, vs scrapping the car. Would seem a shame as it was still running well until that point!

This should do the trick -
As for the VDC light, I don't really see how that would make the engine difficult to start, though I could be totally wrong.
